Christopher Bealey successfully argues no case to answer for teaching assistant charged with assaulting a student.

09 April 2025

Christopher was representing a teaching assistant charged with common assault of a 6-year-old student within their care. The defendant, who was of good character, had worked with children in a voluntary and employed capacity for over 15 years. If convicted, the client would have been unable to continue working with children and been forced to seek alternate employment.

Following a day of Prosecution evidence including cross examination of 4 Prosecution witnesses, Christopher put forward submissions that there was no case to answer. The magistrates accepted the submissions and dismissed the case.

Christopher was instructed by Sam Marsh of Thompsons Solicitors.
