About us.

Crucible was conceived, designed, structured and opened during the second half of 2020 against the backdrop of the COVID pandemic. We have learned from the challenges the pandemic has posed for businesses, both financially and organisationally. Our increased use of technology is not just key to our efficiency and flexibility and designed to meet our clients' needs, it also importantly seeks to reduce our environmental impact in a profession where little attention has been paid to the footprint we leave behind us.

Our members' expertise in financial crime, serious crime, professional discipline and regulatory law is widely recognised and acknowledged. We pride ourselves on the quality of our advice, whether that is pre-charge or on referral following conviction, and on our advocacy whether addressing a jury or arguing legal submissions. We have significant experience in advising individuals, companies, prosecution authorities and regulators whether instructed privately, on insurance, on public funds or by direct access. Many of the cases we appear in have substantial international elements to them and they often attract national and international media attention.

We pride ourselves on our down to earth and friendly approach, with many of us being heavily involved in our spare time in making the law a better and more accessible place for all. Members are currently involved in Bar Council Committees, Inn Scholarship Committees, wellbeing, advocacy training, ethics training and outreach programmes to Inner London schools.
