20 March 2025
Christopher Bealey represented a Defendant charged with assault occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. The case involved added complexity as the Defendant had pleaded guilty to committing arson immediately prior to the incident.
Through careful cross-examination of the two prosecution witnesses who had attended court to give evidence, Christopher was able to highlight the apparent inconsistencies in their accounts and show that the client was not the aggressor but was acting in self-defence.
Following a 3-day trial at Guildford Crown Court, the jury reached a Not Guilty verdict in 15 minutes.
Christopher was instructed by Dev Jummoodoo at Rosewood Solicitors.
