24 July 2025
The Court of Appeal handed down judgment today in the appeals of D5-7 and C9 where the Court was considering whether the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) was correct to approach deprivation of citizenship cases considering allegations of involvement in serious organised crime by an individual in the same manner as those cases where the individual is said to pose a threat to national security.
Martin Goudie KC was appointed as the lead Special Advocate for D5-7 in SIAC and the Court of Appeal with Dominic Lewis and as the lead Special Advocate for C9 in SIAC and the Court of Appeal with Alex Jamieson.
