Libby Anderson successfully represents Registrant at the HCPC.
09 July 2021
Libby Anderson, instructed by Godric Joliffe of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, successfully represented a Registrant accused of
- dishonesty
- falsely reporting findings of a musculoskeletal assessment which had not been carried out, and
- inadequate reporting of the service user’s difficulties as described by the service user during the consultation.
The case was particularly sensitive in nature as the key witness for the HCPC was suffering from a terminal illness.
Libby cross-examined the witnesses to elicit inconsistencies as to what had happened in the course of the consultation, and was able to undermine the reliability of the service user and another eye witness. This resulted in none of the charges being found proven. The Registrant is able to continue practising with no findings of impairment or sanction levelled.
