Successful modern day slavery defence to drugs charges for Tasmin Malcolm.
07 July 2026
Tasmin Malcolm, led by Darryl Cherrett and instructed by Pelin Mehmet of Windmill Cross, appeared before Luton Crown Court for three weeks on six counts of class A drug supply.
The charges spanned a three year period but evidence was called by defence setting out the Defendant’s complex background from the age of 16-25. The Defence relied on evidence of a psychologist to set out the Defendant’s vulnerability and were able to undermine the Crown’s assertion that he was willingly involved in drug dealing as a leading role, directing others.
Following trial, the defendant was acquitted of all six counts.
