Tasmin Malcolm secures acquittal for client accused of rape.

Tasmin Malcolm was instructed to represent a Defendant accused of orally raping a non-binary Complainant. During the 5-day trial at Southwark Crown Court, Tasmin was able to handle the case with appropriate sensitivity whilst advancing her client's case. The Defendant denied that any penetrative act had taken place at all and provided an innocent explanation for the presence of DNA evidence. Following nine months spent on remand, the Defendant was acquitted and released from custody to continue with his life.
