Crucible is frequently instructed in investigations work. We can be instructed by corporates and individuals facing ongoing or potential investigation.
We regularly advise on all matters including the conduct of an internal investigation, self-reporting, legal privilege and (as far as possible) limiting corporate liability. We also assist individuals who are faced with strategic decisions that an investigation may pose.
When acting for investigatory agencies we advise on the strategy and direction of an investigation from the moment of inception to trial. We regularly advise on search orders, the execution of warrants, and securing digital evidence alongside investigatory teams and police officers. In recent years, Crucible’s members have been instructed to participate in police raids where it has been necessary to advise in real time on matters such as highly sensitive documents and legal privilege.
Our experience both in conducting investigations for government agencies and responding to them on behalf of individuals and corporate defendants means that we can offer the widest of skills combined with a depth of knowledge and experience that others do not possess.
