Roxanna Whittaker-Lewis.
Roxanna is a Second Six Pupil and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers' work.
Roxanna brings experience in criminal defence and housing litigation. Her legal career began with hands-on roles advocating for women affected by human trafficking and securing housing for women in prison, helping to reunite them with their children. As a Housing Law Adviser with Shelter, Roxanna handled housing disputes and judicial reviews and secured legal aid for vulnerable clients. She also provided vital legal support to Grenfell disaster survivors, working on the front lines to provide housing advice to those affected.
Roxanna has volunteered with the Justice Centre in Hong Kong and various charities in Singapore, gaining valuable international legal experience. She managed a demanding caseload of cases in her criminal law practice, including defence work in Magistrates' and Crown Courts. She drafted grounds and appeals for extradition cases and achieved successful outcomes in complex legal matters.
Roxanna is a member of the Inner Temple, the Criminal Bar Association, the Extradition Lawyers Association, and Women in Law.
